CCM History book credits Ron with coining
the name Contemporary Christian Music (CCM).
While writing record reviews for Harmony
Magazine under the pen name Blue Samuel
Flying, Ron felt the then current name
Jesus Music or Jesus Rock used a name much
too special to be just the label of a
music style, and wrote about CCM instead.
The name stuck and also affected mainstream
use as Adult Contemporary.

Ron Moore is an international
concert and recording artist combining
music and comedy.

Ron's original unplugged
music has been hailed as first rate by
reviewers. His vocals and guitar work
are brilliant. Comedy is a big part of
Ron's appearances as well. From stand
up routines to "Adam Sandler" type
songs and introductions, Ron's
hilarious wit brings much laughter
and delight. He has been compared to
Bill Cosby, Steven Wright, and
Steve Martin.

Ron has recorded twelve albums,
and performed concerts all over the
world. His albums have received radio
airplay nationally, and Ron hosted the
cable TV video show "Off The Wall!"
for three years. He has influenced and
shared the stage with many of the top
artists of the music industry, still his
performances come across with a
personal touch that is captivating.

Ron Moore grew up in Seoul,
Korea with his missionary parents.
His grandparents were medical
missionaries in Manchuria, China.

Ron's concerts have taken him all over
world from Korea to Bulgaria, Romania
Hungary, and Poland to the United Kingdom
Costa Rica and the Bahamas.

Ron represents World Vision - a relief
organization for third world children
in over 100 countries and the U.S.A.
He has made trips to relief projects in
Mexico and Equador
